"Email is the killer app of the Internet in more ways than one. As much as it pains me to admit it, the current models have got to go before we end up with something authoritarian or worse."

Dr. Daniel E. Geer, Jr. Sc.D

  • MIT Athena Project Leader & Developer of X-Windows System and Kerberos Authentication
  • Co-founder SecurityMetrics.Org
  • Author, "Cyberinsecurity: The Cost of Monopoly"
  • "Message Level satisfies both these business processes without complexity for either the sender or receiver. I think the choice is simple. You can either deploy Message Level or enter into game theory escalations with the spammers, phishers and pharmers."

    Mr. Bob Antia

  • CTO KRS
  • Formerly with Verisign, Guardent and Exodus
  • Board Member: FCC's National Infrastructure Reliability Council.
  • FG1B Committee on Cyber Security
  • "Miscreants who could evade a blacklist or pretend to be on a whitelist by using a different IP address or domain name have a much harder time with Message Level, since it depends on authentication deeper than network node identifiers."

    Mr. John Quarterman

  • CEO, Internet Perils
  • Author, "The Matrix"
  • "25 Unsung Heroes of the Internet", Interactive Week
  • "An email validation system controlled by the sender has two distinct advantages: It allows recipients to take definitive action and it enables senders to track their messages."

IP location data is provided by MaxMind.

Click on the Map Route Map in the status bar menu or top menu from Message Actions to see where your message came from.

Phishing data provided by PhishTank. Right click on an email message, link or web page to test it's validity against the PhishTank database.

Thanks to Mark James for use of his silk and flag icons (see below).

As you browse, a small button on your browser status bar changes color based on that site's current Message Level status. If the site is Message Level enabled any message you receive from that site will be certified.

When checking your mail on one of the designated sites look for the Message Level Status column and know for sure if the sender has confirmed sending that message.

Hover over the column status icon to display details and take further action on the message.

After clicking on a message, notice the bar that drops down from the top of the page.

Click the 'Message Action' button for more info.

After clicking on the 'Message Details' you will be presented with the conversation that took place between Message Level and the sender along with other details.
